We thank you heavens, for opening up and misting us with raindrops. Thank you for the wet kisses, the drops, the dousing, and if we weeds had our way, the prolonged drenching. Every drop whets our thirst for more, even as it satisfies. Given a taste, we now cannot get enough. Each swallow makes us eager for another and we start to feel truly alive, no longer biding our time. With every drop that falls we become heavy with happiness and water, and we become disheveled, mussed up in a wonderful natural way.
We admire each diamond globe as it sparkles and we wait with relieved anticipation for it to slowly make its way down to our feet, so that we can wiggle our toes! We are decorated and jeweled, dressed properly for the new life that will follow the rains.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

I am grateful too …we are all thirsting for the water from the heavens….
Yes, Aina, I agree wholeheartedly. It is dry here, much too dry.
