This is one of my earlier weed appreciation posts. I giggled when I first saw these little weeds, having survived brush clearing day. I giggled again when I saw this post pop up in my feed as a memory. I hope you enjoy the sunset tonight, wherever you are!
A weed whacker came their way recently, but spared these lucky five. Short in stature, they hugged the ground as the heavy boots trod and trembled around them, sending weed leaves, flowers and stems flying in a confusing tornado of terror. Now out of harm’s way, these shortened companions bear the scars of the attack, but feel lucky to have gotten only a “little taken off the top, instead of being dealt a fast spinning blow of death.
I saw them today and I had to giggle. These remnant weeds have gotten back to the business of serenity as they stand in solidarity to watch the day wane. There is a feeling of anticipation, for because their neighbors are gone, they now have the best view around! We all get past the difficult times, and life goes on, ready for us to enjoy. Please do.
