I found something so precious to me that I will hold tight to it, cherish it, protect it and haunt it with every ounce of strength I have. I took a chance and called it mine. What I found is ignored by most, disliked by some, a bother to a few, and for me, a status and a state to cherish.
I have found my home. I have found where I truly belong and where I can make a difference. I have found shelter and safety and opportunity. I have found the place to explore and spread my roots and dig in deep. I have found a crack in the parking lot to call my very very own. And now that I have a place to “be” I can stop drifting and I can evolve and grow and live my life fully.
This is precious to me, this spot that warms my heart. This place is so much more than a location or even a home. It is my anchor which will allow me to be safely tethered to something solid while I freely explore this wild wild world. Who knows what direction I’ll follow? This place gives me love and allows me to love.
I say, “This is my home” to all who pass by. This is the heartfelt conviction from the weed in the parking lot who has enough strength in her roots to change the world.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
