“It is almost Saturday, and almost summer. I can’t wait to play! I gotta find my sidewalk chalk , I gotta get a new bottle of bubbles! Where is my jump rope? I gotta get it! I’ll ride my bike and then play with the doggies, and pet the kitty and jump on the trampoline! When it’s hot I’ll go for a swim and when I’m worn out, I’ll swing on my swings. There is no more school, and now it’s time for endless days of sunshiny fun!”
Oh, dear clover blossom, you are a weed, and the amusements that have caught your fancy are for children. But if you keep your spirits up you’ll find some summer moments that are just for weeds. You are friendly and sweet, dear clover, and your spot beside the jungle gym and tire swing will help you join in the fun. If you bob in the breeze, the children may include you in their carefree parade of escapades. A clover blossom is the perfect balloon for a festive parade, or a microphone for their pop concert, or a cotton candy offered by the clown at the circus. Let your imagination soar, dear weed and let the fun grow.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
