Happy First Day Of Spring

Hello Spring!
Hello Spring!

Let me start at the beginning, today on the first day of Spring. “Oh, that is today!” I feel a stirring in my soul, a trembling of anticipation and excitement.

One by one, each day grew longer until today when it met its partner the night in perfect harmony and equal measure. Today was as long as the night and so the benefits of each were passed around freely to all the happy plants and creatures, like sweet candies. The sun was warmer, but not too warm. My garden was kissed with dew last night and the moist lips of Spring kissed the plants until late this morning. Then the dry hand of today’s sun brushed away the wetness that remained, and made ready the canvas to paint on it with pinks and yellows, blues and greens; spring colors.

Today is the kind of day you want to grin, deep down inside like you’re holding on to a secret, and then let it spread all throughout your body, to hands and feet, to tingling toes, until it illuminates your whole face and the smile erupts and sunbeams break forth! Today is a day for happiness to bubble up from its hidden source and Spring out! It is spring!

Time to thaw the ice and get a move on. Time to get growing and living and springing into action!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
