Today I join with my green fellows in rejoicing that the sky is blue, the air is clean, the birds take flight, the insects hum and the breeze blows. I breathe and grow and so I am alive! I stand proud to be the recipient of such large gifts like life and love, and I stand gratefully in solidarity with those also gifted. In my rejoicing, I give heed to the need of loving one another and sheltering everyone’s tenderness from the forces that could threaten it.
This week has been a dark one with sullen stubborn clouds of despair clouding over many in the world. Uncertainty and fear took stabs at us, and we could not see freely. This evening though, the blinders came off and through resiliency, honor and bravery, true sight of the grace and goodness was once again restored.
How foolish it would be to think that we are alone in either misery or delight. At this time, let our eyes be opened further to see the community we are in with all others. We all feel pain and we all feel joy, and so we are as the weeds in a field; individual plants, but each one more significant when growing in a group.
Blessings to you and yours.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
