Big Sister, Little Sister

Big Sister to Little Sister, we spoke today on a crackly connection that took me back to the days when phone cords tethered us to our talking places (usually scrawled across a bed or sitting on the floor leaned up against the wall). It could have been 1976 again.

Your voice brought back memories of the days and nights we’d talk so intently together, sharing all – things mundane, things heartfelt and things that never even needed saying. I was taken back into time as I felt our connection still so strong. You were the only sister I needed today and you were just perfect.

We have different lives and different styles but we will always be connected by our common roots. We simply and perfectly belong together, even on prickly hot days when we find ourselves surrounded by the thorns of a hostile environment. As always, having you there made it so much nicer.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
