Lucky's Weed

This is often how I see weed evidence of doggy adventures. Lucky, my Border Terrier, obliviously sports all manners of weed seeds, burrs and thorns with great spunk! They hitch a ride on her scruffy coat when she’s been snuffling about in the underbrush. She might have been on the trail of a bunny, lizard, squirrel or mouse, but this weed sniffed her out for weed transport. “All aboard the doggy train!”

I’ve been aching to capture a weed on my dog for quite some time. Today was our lucky day! She got her tummy rubbed and I got her to stay still long enough for me to capture this photo.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

    1. Thank you! Lucky gets a lot of burrs stuck in her coat, but she rarely poses for the camera. So this time I lucked out!

  1. Hi. You have a good concept here. I like the way the text pops up on the images in your month-long calendar of weeds. Weeds are so ephemeral… they take away guilt! jane
