Weed control, what folly! The scheme was to cut down all the weeds, clear the land, lay waste to the overgrowth and reclaim the expanses as far as the eye can see. Ha!
Do you see what their labor has wrought? Why, I see a grand opportunity for fresh seeds to rest, to gather, to self congratulate and coordinate the details of their mission before they launch into the air and conquer the outlying areas. Man’s plans have created a sea of seeds cresting around the humped back whale shaped demolished weed pile. The winds will surely swirl eddies of thistle futures and the currents of air will disperse them quite speedily.
And then, from the island of interest amongst the fluffy waves, some fresh and saucy thistles semaphore their coordinates in the ironic sea with plenty of purple perkiness. These weeds are having a lark!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
