Tres Amigas

“Today’s mood forecast…silly with a certainty of overflowing giggles!” the eldest thistle flower whispered to herself. The tickle of fun had been flirting up and down her stem all morning, and now it was bubbling up inside her, making her flower tips tingle. Her giggles were going to explode and it was going to get funny real quick! She was connected to her thistle weed sisters and if she started giggling out loud, the three of them would start and never stop. Being the oldest by just a few hours and thus the leader, she felt responsible for them all. Her middle sister would be happy to loosen up a little, but their youngest sister was still tightly wound that she might not be ready to let go. Oh heck, just go with it! It would be great fun, and everybody’s got to grow!

Ah, the deliciousness in losing control, the spontaneous freedom of being caught in a wave of joy, the raucous delight in spasms and tearing up and barely being able to breathe in between giggles! Let it go! Embrace it! Be bold and happy! Laughter is infectious and you can try to hold it in, but it’ll slip out between your fingers (or leaves) no matter what you do – so why would you? Laugh freely today and spread the joy to all those around you.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

  1. Hi Jane! Thank you. When my son laughs really hard, he tries to hold it in by covering his mouth, and it always slips out. When I see him do that, it makes me laugh even harder.
